I have a four year old female fixed Beagle/Basset Hound mix she likes to do this thing we call 360's with her butt my wife and I think it's cute is this normal? she is overweight and she does like to sniff the spot when she's done is she just scratching her butt?

Hi Chris, Does she spin around on her butt?  If so, she is either scratching or her anal sacs may be full and she is trying to relieve the pressure.  Normally if it is their anal sacs though, they tend to scoot on the floor instead of spin, but she could be doing that instead, especially since she is sniffing the spot afterwards.  Hope this helps,
