Question
We have shaved our Newfie for the past 3 summers and her hair has always grown in normally.  However, this summer, she has three areas on her back where the hair is not re-growing.  Is there any product that will help that area grow back her coat in these bald patches?  Thanks for your advic

Answer
Hi Paula,

Shaving a coat such as a Newfies is risky.  The fact that her coat grow back normal for the past 3 years is great, however in time you will see that the coat will be affected by shaving.  I can suggest a supplement for skin and coat that may help.  I say may, because sometimes the coat just becomes ruined by repeat shaving.  But here is the link http://www.pipschoice.com click on dogs - supplements and look for Skin & Coat.  I see great success with these supplements in most cases.  Hope this helps.
