Question
Hi,
My terrier is having her first season and we are now nearing the end of it. However, we have noticed that her nipples have become bigger, is this a sign that she has been caught or does this happen anyway? Any advice would be greatfully received!

Answer
Sian -

I would not be too worried about her nipples swelling a little. It would be way too soon for them to swell from pregnancy, though there's no way to tell if she's preggers or not this soon.  You would have to take her to the vet in a couple of weeks.

Now for the tough subject - why is she not payed yet ?  It is essential that all dogs be spayed for 2 reasons - and many folks do not know this one - It will help her live LONGER....
