I just recently bought a rat terrier and i don't know what to feed it and it's very small it's a baby.

Depending HOW young it is?  If it is 6 to 8 weeks old you can feed it a good puppy food from your local pet store.  Nutro, puppy lamb and rice is good.  If you are out of California then one of the clerks can help you choose something that is high protein till it is over a year old. Then you can switch to an adult food.   

If it is younger than that you need to return it so it can nurse on its mother longer.  BUT sounds like it is older.
