Question
I have a 7 yr old female poodle she has been given table scrapes since she was a puppy (due to my parents having her) and tonight she had pooped in my laundry room and there was some spots of blood in her stool can u please tell me what to do? Or  what could cause it bc she is my sons dog and i dont want nothing to happen to her! Thanks Michelle

Answer
Hi Michelle :-)

Blood in the faces can be caused by numerous things hun, but it does require Vetinary treatment and a thorough examination.

Blood in faces can be caused by a infection in the bowels, severe constipation which has caused a fisile tearing of the anus of enternal bowel, hemarroids and in severe cases, cancer on the bowels.

The best thing you can do is make a appointment at your Vet within the next 48hours and if possible obtain a stool sample of your Dog on the morning of the appointment and take this with you to the Vet for analysis. You can purchase a small container from your Pharmacist which is used for human urine sample, and place the stool sample in this.

Take care and all the best and please leave me a comment.
