You should also do some research on the breed before you guys just jump into owning one. APBTs are very high-energy, active dogs that require a lot of attention, exercise, and stimulation. Many times people take in an APBT without realizing the commitments and sacrifices they must make and then, upon finding out what they have gotten themselves into, they dump the dog off somewhere. As with ANY dog, you should really make sure you know what you are getting into before you bring one home.
