not drinking milk

Question
My puppy is 16 days old and she doesn't drink as much milk as the directions say to feed her. She does drink the milk for a second when she is hungry. I wanted to know is there some other food to give her or how much longer will she drink the milk?
P.S. I got her right at 2weeks old because I had to move out of town! I know it was alittle early but any helpful tips?

Answer
Hi Chase:  16 days old was too soon to take here away from MOM... Sorry, this was not a good choice on your part.  Many breeders will send them to you at 10 weeks old via airplane.  Some breeders will wait until they are 12-13 weeks old to allow them for flight.

I would take your baby to the vet.  Make sure she is not deyhdrated and have a good talk with the vet.  They can do some blood work to make sure she is well.  They will help you to give her a formula that she likes ... There are choices that a vet can give you a RX for.
Not too many formula choices in the pet stores.

Sorry, I just think you need to see a vet  ASAP
