Question i think my 1 year old pitt got pregnant right after she went in heat. I have noticed her nipples getting bigger shes fussy and always wants to stay in her house. Is she going to be ok if shes pregnant alot of people keep telling me I'm going to have to put her down if shes pregnant. Please help me save my dog.
AnswerHi Lanetta: I don't know why people will say to " put her down", that makes no sense at all. If she did get pregnant at 1 year old she can have healthy pups. Also, she can be healthy too and deliver without troubles.
Breeders like females to be over 18 months old when they have the first litter. Just so the female has a chance mature more.
I would make a visit to the vet office. They can give her a check over and make sure all is going well. Things like this happen...
