how do I know when im ready to breed my pitball? she is 1 year old and she had her first cycle in February.

My opinion is that nobody should be breeding Pit Bulls right now because they are overpopulated.  They are being put down in shelters because there are not enough homes, especially in this economy.  People are giving away puppies for free, there's just not enough homes.  Please spay your dog, is healthier to spay, too.  Leave the breeding up to the professionals who are using genetics and health testing to make better dogs.  You should not breed a dog under 2 years old, anyway.
