Question
I have a pit bull who 8 month old but he wont eat his food. When he was young we fed him Eukanuba and loved it, but know he don't eat it anymore. I did some research and concluded that Nutro would be best, but he still don't eat it should I Give him a raw food diet.

Answer
I asked a friend of mine about your question. She is the owner of a natural pet food store and a canine nutritionist of sorts (in case you are wondering about her expertise on the matter). This is what she recommends: Get sample packs of several varieties of dry dog foods. Place a little of each pack in separate bowls, and put the bowls in front of your dog. Let him check them out and see how he reacts to them. If there is one that he seems to like, give him that one.

You can also try "bribing" him...If he likes treats (and what dog doesn't?) put a few treats in his bowl with his food. That may be enough to get him interested in his food.

I don't think that this is enough to say you need to switch to the BARF diet, but that is your choice. If that is the route you choose to take, please contact your veterinarian or a nutritionist first so that they can give you the best idea possible of the types and amounts of foods to give your dog.

I would like to stress though~ Do not give him "people food" just because he doesn't seem interested in his dog food. That would be starting an unhealthy habit that you may find really hard to break later on. Also, if he is not eating ANYTHING or drinking anything you need to contact your veterinarian as soon as possible.
