I just got 2 5 week old puppies pits. Today one appears sick and has yellow diarrhea like stools. I have been feeding him soft puppy food and can milk. Did I make it sick

At 5 weeks the puppies should still be with their mother.  At this age they are just weaning.  Puppies should stay with mom and littermates until 8 weeks.  They are babies, they have a weak immune system.

Now that you have them, one is sick and needs to see a vet immediately.  The puppy could dehydrate quickly and die if you do not get it to a vet.
