what age can you breed

How old does your dog need to be before you mate him? I was told by 2 people by 6 months old you can breed him is that true? Type of dog red nose pitbull.

Hi Tara:  It is best to wait until he is mature and at least 12 months old.  As for a female, you would wait until she is mature and at least 15 months old...
