QuestionShe is 12 weeks today? Can she eat anything else other than dry food. What "human" food can I give her as a meal or treat?

You can feed your dog wet food, dry food (I feed mine organic dry food), or go for the raw/BARF diet. Some people even make their own dog food at home. It has been my experience that most wet foods are not quite up to par nutritionally (although there are some that are) and can cause dogs to have bowel movements so soft that they border on diarrhea. I don't know much about the raw/BARF diet or on how to make homemade dog food, but your vet's office or a nutritionist would be able to give you the information on that. Granted, there is a wealth of information on the web and at the bookstore on these two diets that you could check into... I just think it is best to ask a vet or a nutritionist because, in the end, they are the ones that are going to have the most accurate information for you.
As for giving her human food...When it comes to treats, some of the best things you can give your dog would be fresh fruits and veggies, like carrots or apples. *Make sure you avoid grapes and raisins, as it has been proven that they are potentially fatal* Peanut butter is always a nice treat, too, but it contains a lot of salt...so if you decide to give her that, try to get peanut butter that has little to no salt in it (I believe Smuckers actually makes salt-free peanut butter). Start her off with a small amount at first and then keep a close eye on her to be sure that she is not allergic to what you give her (because dogs can have food allergies just like humans). Other than fresh fruits and veggies, though, you really should avoid giving her "people food". There are just too many preservatives and other additives in human foods that she doesn't need and that can make her sick.
