Question
Ihave a 1 month old pit bull and i have a hard time feeding him he wont drink the milk im giving him from the bottle and also how much is he suppose to eat and how often?

Answer
Since he is one month old, and has already fed from his mother, it is going to be very difficult to feed him from the bottle.  Get a syringe and feed him through that.  Don't give too much at a time, or else he can choke.  Around 5 weeks of age, you can introduce puppy food that has been fully soaked and mashed in a small bowl.  You might have to rub a little in his mouth at first so he understands that it is food.  Start with one cup of food soaked with 3/4 cup of warm water.

One other reason he could not be eating well, is that he does not have his mother to stimulate his bowls, which he could become constipated.  Is he going to the bathroom? If not, get a warm damp rag and stimulate his privates to relieve himself.

Check the color of his gums. If they appear to be turning white, he more than likely has tapeworms or hookworms. Bring him to your vet immediately.

If you pull the skin on the back of his neck up, and release it, it should fall down quite quickly. If it does not fall down, and stays stiff, then he more than likely dehydrated, or becoming anemic. In this case, take him to the vet immediately.
