Question
My poor Sayde has a BUNCH of bumps under her fur. The hair is starting to get kinda sparse too. She has problems with her ears that I seem to manage with rubbing alcohol. But the red, bumps, dry skin and itching have me considerably worried. I though it might be mange, but I used this mange spray today and now she's redder and bumpier than ever before....Please HELP!!!

Answer
Hi Johanna:  You will need a vet to see her and decide if it is Mange.
Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure whether or not your dog has mange is to take her to the vet and have a skin scraping done. When the vet does this, it will determine if she has mange and what kind of mange it is.

If you want to try another route, use some Skin and Coat Supplements:
here are some ideas for you:

First off, the ears should be cleansed with something not so drying to the skin area.  Here is a recipe for you to make...

NATURAL EAR TREATMENTS

1.  Ear delight is nature's way of caring and treating smelly ear problem and just a dab will do it.

Essential Formula

1 drop tea tree oil

1 drop lavender oil

1 drop chamomile oil

1 teaspoon warm olive oil

Remember to do a patch test

Dilute tea tree, lavender and chamomile oils in 1 teaspoon warm olive oil and mix. Apply 2-4 drops of the formula with an eye dropper into the ear and massage around the ear for one/ two minutes and swab with cotton ball until clean.
Shelf Life: discard after use

Purpose: to cleanse, kill bacteria and break down wax build up.

tea tree oil: natural antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal

lavender oil: antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal

chamomile: natural antiseptic

olive oil: carrier oil
