why band pitbulls

why do people band Pitbulls? is it because they are mean? well i have a Pitbulls at home and he's really nice so why band them?

Hi Lindsay:  I feel for you.  When I first heard my sister-in-law was getting a Pit Bull it scared me!  All that came to my mind was fighting dog that would bite!
So untrue.... but that is what comes to many minds when they think about this breed.

The pit bulls that I have met have been little angels!!!
