QuestionI have a female red nose pitbull and she is about 6 years old, she keeps licking herslf so much she looses hair and bleeds. Can u tell me the cause of this?
AnswerHi Melissa: Your female has allergies... Have the vet do a blood test on her for Thyroid... If all comes back normal then lets change her diet around:
Make a change over to ONE of the Following:

Benadryl is fine for the times she is so itchy she is bleeding. You can give one 25mg benadryl tablet every 6-8 hours. Don't give this for a long time... Just when her flair ups are the worst and she is going crazy.
