Feeding and shots

Question
Good Morning,
We were given what we thought was a char-pei but once home the puppy tends to "look" like a pit bull terrior and also has "some" char-pei traits but can't really be sure. We have a golden and a golden/chow mix and a cat.  We're trying to find out if in fact either the mom/dad was a pit or has pit in it but I am interested in when and what shots the puppy needs now (8 weeks old) if any.  Secondly, I just feed her a small handful of puppy chow but am trying to feed her on the same schedule as my other two dogs, once at 7:30am and then at 4:30pm.  Is this ok? I have a cage for her. I'm really in a situation in whether or not to keep her.  If she does have pit in her, are the females "less likely" to be agressive or is it really in the breeding? The golden/chow mix is type "A" personality and am wondering if I will have problems down the road with the two of them.  The golden on the other hand doesn't really care so far and he has a great personality.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Answer
Hello Don- sorry your question did not get answered.  I am the new Expert on this page for Pit Bulls.

As far as feeding, you need to do 3 x per day until the pup is about 6 -7 months old.  Then, if the pup is a good weight, you may be able to drop down to 2 x per day.  When you get the shots, from the vet, you can get this info.  Your vet will let you know how the dog's weight is and if all is well.

What food did you choose to feed you new pup.

As for aggression....  It is how you bring up a dog ( pit) that matters.  Give them lots of love and expose them to many other doggies and pals.  If you bring them up in a loving and fun home, the dog will mostly turn out that way.

Females are more aggressive only when they have babies  around ( pups).

I hope that you have found a good vet.

Any other questions, feel free to ask me.
