Hi there,
is there a purpose as to why you want this type of dog. To me it seems as if you dont know very much about this breed. Also you need lots of dog experience to own a dog like a pitbull.

The iron dogs are all excellent as no one would even approach if you had a dog like that. However, it is best to know about what you are getting into. Getting a pitbull w/o having any of this breed type experience is like driving a beat up beetle one day and than a viper the next. You need to be able to handle such power. IF you want a dog that is more of a protector there are better choices than pitbulls, that maybe to more of your liking given that it seems that you do not have much bully experience. A german shepard perhaps, as they are very loyal and good at protecting or a doberman, or rottie.

Pits are solid but they need someone that has that type of experience and can handle such a breed. If you really want a gladiator type dog here are some suggestions:
A pitbull from Gotti bloodlines, (something that is stalky and strong yet agile) AS they look more scary.

Presa Canarios
Ca de Bou
Cane Corso
Tosa
Fila Brasiliero
Argentino Dogo
American Bulldog
These are all gladiator type dogs but require someone that has lots of experience in dealing with dogs of this calibre.

American bulldogs are a good choice. However you must understand that these are also like pits and thus will be hard to control at times, just be careful.

However my recommendation is a Presa Canario. However these dogs can be deadly in the wrong hands, much like a pitbull. These dogs are often referred to as gladiator pitbulls. They are also known to be very good gaurd dogs. IF you are going to settle with one of those dogs i mentioned than try this. Another VERY GOOD choice is the Argentino Dogo. They are all white and show strength and character all over. Try these two breeds.
