Question
Hi, my 22 week old Black lab seems to let go of his bowls 3x's at 07:00, 1x around 12:00, 1x
at 15:00 and 1x around 22:00. This seems to be very often. I feed him morning and evening's. Is there something I should change? thank you very much!

Answer
You may want to talk to the vet.  It could be as simple as overfeeding him.

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. Switching to an adult chow for the larger breeds at 4 months, slows growth and helps develop sturdier joints.
