Answer
You bought the wrong breed of dog.  It is very important to do research on breeds of dogs before yo purchase one.  If your needs were for a guard dog, a Labrador Retriever is NOT the right breed.  One of the hallmarks of the breed is Temperament, and unfortunately that includes being friendly to anyone they meet.  When they get older, some will get a bit protective in that they will bark to announce that someone is too close to the property or at the door, but you cannot be sure that this will happen.

If having a guard dog is the most important quality of having a dog, I suggest you rehome this dog before you do harm to it's personality and look for breed that is known to guard.
