Question
hi. I have written to u b4, about my 3 year old female jack (molly). Anyways, I was wanting to find out about pregnancy.  Molly & our other male jack had gotten stuck together about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I'm just wondering what I need to be looking for to see if he has accually impregnanted her or not. She does eat alot, she still plays alot, but not quite as much as b4, she has always slept alot. Please help me with somethings that I still need to look for.   Thank you, Harlin.

Answer
Hi Harlin,

It's still too early to actually see any signs yet. You could go to the vet and get a blood test done which will tell you immediately. Usually the first sign is a change in the dogs nipples. They will start to turn very pink and grow larger as the pregnancy progresses. Her appetite will increase and she will rest more often. Pregnancy is 8 weeks (2 months) and you don't usually see any changes until around week 5. If she is pregnant, make sure to learn all you can about how to care for her, feed her correctly, and how to whelp a litter. Good luck.
