Deaf dogs.

Question
If you have never owned or trained a deaf dog, how can you consider yourself an expert????
I have 3 deaf dogs, NONE snap when woken up, I can hold my deaf dogs attention, with no problems how many with hearing dogs can do that, I can even hold their attention, so they would ignore a cat, or any other animal, can you do that with your hearing dogs????

My advice is for the novices who have never owned a dane before.  There is enough trouble with big dogs killing babies that I would rather err on the side of safety than risk danes being classified with Rotts, Dobes, Staffies and Pit Bull.  I(f you want to take the risk go ahead but don't critisise me for being over cautious.  And I have helped to train deaf and partly blind dogs so I know just how much more difficult it is than training fully functioning dogs.
