18 month old Female GSD not gone into heat

Hi Labman,

My German Shepherd (Jenny) is 18 months old now. She has not gone into heat
until now. Could there be a problem?

I checked with her vet and he gave her 2 injections (i dont recall the name)
once in 15 days last month.

What should i do now? Will it affect her health? I am worried.

Your vet can better answer those questions.  Some females go through what is called silent heats where there is so little discharge, you may miss it.

Why don't you just spay her?  With all the dogs being slaughtered for lack of good homes, we don't need people that haven't done their homework breeding dogs that aren't healthy, outstanding members of their breed.  

I am disappointed your vet isn't givingyou the same advice.
