german chepard identfication number in ear?

we have a 4 year old czech. german shepard by the name of Raja and he was givin to us after one of my patients died.  All we know about him is that he was shipped to the US as a puppy from czech and my patient bought him from a man who lives around colonial beach by the name of mr. nurse when we recieved him we noticed there were blue numbers permantely stamped in both of his ears vertically. What do these numbers mean and how can we find out abut them?

Those are tattooes, should only be one in right ear if registered with the SV in Germany.
You would have to contact them, the link is on my site, or a czech registry.  If your in that country, then you would know the registry there.
If you in Germany it is the SV, or here in states the ACK, and Shutzhund U.S.A on my breeders links page is an outlet of the SV over here, they might be able to trace those numbers.
