Agressive GSD bitch to other dogs.

We adopted a 5 yr old GSD bitch a few months ago.  She is wonderful with people.  She was wonderfull with all dogs for about 2 months but recently has become very agressive to other dogs (she seasoned about a month ago) - especially bitches (I think).  We would like her to be as loveable as before.  What can we do?

Spay her.  Their seasons usually start with flaky behavior which can continue after the discharge and swelling is done.  With seasons usually coming twice a year, that could mean half the time she is in the nasty phase of her personality.  Except for select breeding stock, there is no good reason to keep an unspayed female.  Besides the hassle, temperament problems, risk of accidental breeding, etc., they are far more likely to develop cancer later in life.  Besides, in a couple of more years, she will be too old to breed.
