Question
Please can you help me stop my 5 and a half month old puppy nipping.
We have tried squirting water, exaggerating ouch! getting up and walking away but he seems to think we're playing with him no matter how stern we are.
He does mostly nip a 3yr old child i mind but we think that could be because she torments him now they both think it's a game i want to stop.
He can be very sneaky and will nip hands or feet if he's passing and we've resorted to putting a muzzle on him in situations where he might nip, this is something i don't want to do all the time and he does have plenty of toys for chewing and exploring, could it be anything to do with the fact we got him from the breeder at 13 weeks old?
Thank-you
sharon

PUT A TAD BIT OF VINEGAR IN THE BOTTLE AND SPRAY HIS FACE EVERY TIME HE GOES TO BITE.
ALSO GRAB A HUNK OF HAIR ON THE BACK OF HIS NECK, SQUEESE IT AND LIFT IT UP AND SHAKE BACK N FORTH SAYING A LOUD NO NO.  BE FIRM, HAND A TOY WHEN HE DOES THIS AND MAKE HIM KNOW YOUR HIS BOSS AND LEADER AND THIS IS GOING TO STOP NOW.
DO NOT MUZZLE A PUPPY U MUST GET IN CONTROL OF HIM WITHOUT GIMMICKS.  JUST USE THE SPRAY WATER BOTTLE AND SPARY HIS FACE INTO HIS EYES AND HOLLER NO NO.  STOP IT NOW.  YOUR TONE OF VOICE ALONG WITH THE SPRAY WILL MAKE HIM QUIT.
