Father/Child relationship

I have a 6 year old male German Shephard that I studded out, his pups are 5 weeks old this week. The litter consisted of 7 males and one female. I have decided to bring one into our home, which would be best male or female?  Thank you

Hi Connie, It really depends on what characteristics you are looking for.  Females are better protectors of their dens (homes) than males, but she will come in heat every 6 months which is something you will have to deal with because females will try to get to the males as much as the males will try to get to the females.  Males are better when it comes to competive sports if you want to compete in things and are less dog aggressive than the females.  It mostly comes down to your personal preference.  Hope this helps,
