Dog with swollen eye

my german shepard was playing with our cat and the cat scratched his eye or eye lid. i can't really tell what happened. He's eye is swollen and he can't open it. We have cleaned it out several times, an dput some soliton in it but now there is green liquid on his eye. Don't not seem to get better. What should we do. He eys itself looks fine. I think the cat scratched he's eye lid. help please. Poor sam is mopping around and wants to scarch it becasue its iching. Someone please give advice....

Hi, you need to take him into the vet to verify that the cornea is not scratched.  You can not see this with your own eye.  They have to put a dye on your dog's eye and then use a special machine to look at the surface of the eye and make sure it is not scratched.  You don't want him irritating it as he can make any injury to it worse.
