Two Female GS pups

A business associate was adopting two (2) young (16 weeks) PB GSD (one a rescue). The have an older male PB GSD, and just lost their other to cancer. They are now considering stopping the process as their vet told them that although the two females may get along as pups, when they get older the will become aggeessive and could kill each other. Is this true, or an old wives tale?

Hi Krissy,  your vet is right.  When female GSD's tend to get older they do have aggression problems towards other female dogs, including themselves and could start turning on each other.  I would recommend a female & male, not two females together.  Hope this helps,
