!/2 Lab, 1/2 German Shepherd

Our 6 month old mix GS is biting and jumping at us when we come home.  Even when he's been outside all day running and playing.  He will also cry (make wining noises) while jumping and biting at us.  We also have 3 other labs mixes who don't have these behaviors so I'm curious how to correct this and if in fact it is a characteristic of the German shepherd?

German Shepherds often are more vocal and mouthy than many other breeds.  When he jumps up and bites, step back and turn away.  Never give him any positive attention.  and everyone in the family must do it.  It will take a while, but it should work.
