German Shephard and cats

Question
We just adopted a 3 year old German Shephard and have had her three days - she does well with other two dogs but seems to be not adjusting to the cats.  We have three cats and she goes for them til they hiss and fight back.  My fear is will she kill them?  I really want to keep her as she is awesome otherwise.  With her being three will she adjust to the cats or should I give her away???

This is a hard question to answer as I cannot see what the dog's body language is when she is after the cats.   Will she back down when they hiss and scratch?   If so, she will probably get the idea that chasing the cats hurts! lol   A GSD would have no problem killing a cat if it wanted to.   So you have to decide if she is going to settle down or not.   I would give it at least a month before placing her in another home.
