Question
I have a 3 month old sheperd and she is pretty good about going outside to go to the bathroom. My problem is when she goes she wants to eat it. She gets feed 3x a day at 2 cups plus treats. She is great off the leash and I would like to keep it that way ,but I am thinking to put her on cuz of the problem. I do clean up after her ,but she still goes for it after she is done.

Answer
HI TANYA
PRETTY NAME!!
U HAD IMMEDIATELY GATHER IT UP AND TELL HER NO NO, THIS IS GOING TO STOP NOW!!
THIS CAN BE GENETIC AND THEY GROW OUT OF IT.  I HAVE HAD THAT PROBLEM WITH CATHY FROM GERMANY AS A SMALL PUPPY SHE WOULD EAT FECAL MATTER IF LEFT LONG ENOUGH I FEEL TO SPITE ME.  I STARTED TO CLEAN IT RIGHT AWAY AND SHE GAVE UP AND IS NOW A 3 YEAR OLD ADULT THAT DOES NOT TOUCH IT.
YOU CAN GET STUFF TO PUT INTO THE FEED TO DISCOURAGE IT AT WWW.DRSFOSTERSMITH.COM, I THINK IT IS CALLED DISTASTE.?
BUT, THE BEST RESULUTION IS TO CLEAN UP AND SCOLD HER AFTER SHE GOES AND TRYIES TO EAT IT THAT YOUR NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT AND PLEASE STOP.  RAISE HER LIKE IT IS YOUR CHILD, I DO AND THEY TEND TO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR SAYING AND WHY.

KIND REGARDS
