Teddy my pom

Hi I have a question, my pom is 1 year and I was wondering if I have to groom her and if I do then what kind of grooming am I looking at for her and about how much money would that be.  I would like my dog to be poofy but if she is not I will still love her all the same.

Not all Poms will grow to be poofy.  Some have incorrect flat open coats.  It is just from poor breeding.  That is one of the mior reasons people who don't know the breed standard should not be breeding. :o) But at her age she may just be going through her 1 yr blow and just need weekly brushings out.  I like to sit on the couch and brush out "my kids" while I watch tv.  Its good for them and good for me.  If you are interested in show grooming you can purchase a video by Karen Crawford that show just how show groomers get fluffy Poms.
