Question
I have a female Miniture she about 9.5lbs we are looking to breed her with a male that is about 15lbs I was wondering if his weight is a concern-- The only other thing about the male is he had one litter that produced 3 pups one was still born one died 48 hours later and one very healthy pup is this a concern? We want her to have one litter then she is getting fixed and family is taking the pups I am not breeding her to sell the pups

Answer
The size should not matter.  Also, the pups dying might have been due to the mother, not the father.  It is hard to tell.  You will most likely get tweenies or small standards from the litter since he is a big boy.  I love the fact that you will get her fixed - thanks from the thousands of homeless dogs out there and good luck!
