Clipping nails / Pet Nurse Marie likes to use baby clippers

Question
I have a 3 pound chi male that hates having his nails clipped.  I bought one of those Pedi-paws but cannot get with 10 feet of him with them.  Any suggestions on how to make the process of trimming his nails and less stressful on him?

Believe it or not it actually takes me and my husband to hold him and trim his nails

Sharon, I had to Laugh!!  I know what you mean about Nails and small dogs!!!
HOW about you wrap him in a blanket and just buy baby clippers...
( you know the infant size nail clippers)
Wrap him in a blanket so his arms and legs won't move.  JUST take out each leg as you need it.

MY dog hates the Pedi paws, too!  The noise and even the smell of the little machine.  I got rid of mine after using it 2 times.

I cut the nails with a nail clipper ( the human kind) and then I just take a little nail file and buff out the sharp edges.
VERY quick and easy!!!

Have fun cutting the nails...
