Question
Hello
My 3 1/2 lb chihuahua is going on 9 years old. Today I noticed she is having trouble using the bathroom (bowel) she does normally have very hard stool since I switched her about 6 months ago to EVO small bites. I am thinking maybe its TOO rich for her. What is good to feed an older less active chi and what can I do now to help her to get her bowels moving. She is looking bloated.

Answer
**constipated chihuahua ; food for chihuahuas ; dog food reviews and choices:
Did you try a new food for your chi?
HOW are you doing now?

Hi Mia - The Evo is a great food for her.  How about you add 1 teaspoon of the WET canned Innova Evo to her dry food daily?
Also, give her 1/4 of a Metamucil cookie/wafer - they are very good for adding a litle bulk to her stool.
Metamucil cookies come in Apple or Cin flavors..
Also, add a teaspoon of water to her dry food - try to get more water into her.

BEST Wishes!!
