Chi and Kitty

Question
I read an answer you wrote about chi's and cats.  I am getting a new 8 month year old chi in a week and I already have a 3 year old cat.  Do you suggest any precautions I need to take when introducing them for the first time?  I am a novice in the world if chi's!  I have read tons of information online, but that's the extent of my knowledge.  Any suggestions?

Thank you!

Taryn

Answer
Hello, Well best wishes on your new Chi addition... YES, they can become best of friends.  YOU need to remember that the CAT was there first and needs HER space from the NEW chi doggie.
If you respect your cat's space - YOU will have a happy home.

Give the Chi and cat some sessions together ( with you) and also plenty of time apart.
JUST work slowly to get them adjusted to each other.
The CAT should teach the chi the Rules of the house.

HAVE fun!!!
Make sure you have a good food and vitamin for your Chi:
