Answer
HI ASKS:
I JUST PUT MY BULLDOG DOWN OCT 13 HER LUNGS FILLED UP, HER HEART WAS VERY WEAK, SHE WAS NEAR 12, LIFESPAN IS 8 YRS.

Description:
Despite its bloody beginnings, the English Bulldog is today a friendly and lovable dog that adores its family, and is unsurpassed in its relations with children. The English Bulldog loves with the depth of its heart and never tires of doing things with its owners. It usually gets along well with other animals. Playful and high-spirited as a puppy, the Bulldog grows up to be a calm and dignified adult. The English Bulldog is not for those who expect absolute obedience from their dog, though the claim that Bulldogs think more slowly than other dogs is not true.

Height: 12 - 14 inches

Weight: 50 - 55 lbs.

Colors:
Uniform color, red brindle, reds; sometimes with a black muzzle

Coat:
Short and smooth

Temperament:
Affectionate, but sometimes stubborn; great with kids

Care and Exercise:
Regular brushing with a rough cloth and minimal exercise. Care should be taken not to over feed as he would prefer not to take any exercise. Special care to powder his fold and wrinkles and under his tail during hot weather. Should not be over exerted in hot weather. He does not make a good dog for the obedience enthusiast.

Health Issues:
Never leave this dog in a hot car or hot, unventilated area -- they easily overheat. The English Bulldog does drool and snore alot because of the small throat area.  however, they are such wonderful pets, we miss Brita so much.   She was tough in a sense and loved walks daily.

WARM REGARDS
