Question
Hi Renee, my boxer will sometimes eat something rotting in the yard, like old buried brisket bones etc and suffers dreadfully the next day. to the extent that he wont eat and cant seem to get comfortable anywhere. His stomach grumbles so loudly that it worries me. Is there something i can give him to help ease the turmoil in his stomach. preferably something natural. He does eat grass and eventually the problem goes away but i don't like to see him suffer in the meantime. In the past i have tried cooked rice and pumpkin but he wont always eat it.
hope to hear from u soon.

Answer
Hi Hanne! I really don't know a lot about natural herbs and such, I do know that there are a lot of them that you can't give to dogs. You can however, give them Pepto. I had a Great Dane once that would eat everything, including lattice from the porch, and small trees and bushes. The vet told me to give him Pepto. It did help him. And he loved it. You couldn't leave an unopened bottle of it around. He would chug it. Start out giving him a half a table spoon to see if he can handle it ok. There may be something else you can give for it, you can ask your vet about that. If I can help with anything else, let me know!
