Making in the house

Question
I have a beagle named Polly who is 3 years old. I adopted her about 5 months ago. She is house trained but over the last 2 week she has been peeing in the house. She pees in my parent's room.

She sleeps in my room and is kept in my room when we are not at home. we tried giving her the run of the house but she would always make in the house. She made in every room but mine, so I thought that would be a good place to keep her. And so far she has never made in my room.

I gave her a 1/2 hour walk this morning & she peed 5 times. Then as I was getting ready to leave she went & peed in my parent's room. She peed in their room twice last week when I was not in the house.

She is very attached to me but I don't understand why she is making in my parent's room. Is she doing it out of spite? What can I do? Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Answer
It seems like Polly associates your room as her home but, not the other rooms. Dog's do NOT do anything for spite. Spite is something that us humans has a monopoly on in the animal kingdom.
Has Polly been spayed?
I would suggest that you keep Polly in your room when you are not home or if there isn't someone there to watch her. Also, be sure to clean her messes with an enzyme cleaner so she doesn't start to think that your parents room is the indoor bathroom. I would not allow her in your parents room for at least a month.
I am guessing that Polly might have been paper trained instead of housebroken and is getting a little confused.
