preventing dehydration

Hi there,
I have a 2 year old male who sustained an eye injury during a cat fight. i am treating the eye injury and it is healing. my concern now is that he hasn't been eating or drinking and i'm worried about him dehydrating. i've been giving him small amounts of water every hour or so, but i heard somewhere that pedealite would be better. is there anything i can include in the water that will help him, like sugar or something?

just keep on doing what your doing don't add anything to the water, try feeding the cat soft food or something that he really loves to eat, NO TUNA!  If he won't eat i would suggest force feeding him baby foods, like beef or chicken nothng with vegetables or fruits.
