cat having problems after being spade

Question
My kitten is 6 months old.  We had her spade on November 26.  Two weeks before she was "fixed" I thought she was in heat.  Since the operation she has been acting very strange.  She has urinated on furniture, clothing left on the floor, and now our bed.  She meows through out the night, carring around stuffed animal cats.  I think she is upset about getting "fixed", but how does she really know what happened.  Do you have any advise on how to handle the situation?  Could she have an urnariy tract infection?  I did call the vet on Friday, but the vet was out of town.  They told me that if she continues to "pee" to call them back.  I have grown up with cats and this isn't the first cat I have ever had.  In fact, we have another female cat that is 3 years old and she didn't act this way when she got spade at 8 months of age.

Answer
wow, well i do agree with you, something is wrong. i dont know about it being an infection, mainly because when its a urinary tract infection the cat TRIES to pee anywhere but can only get a few drops out. i dont think she knows she was fixed either. it could just be that she was in the middle of a high hormone time when she was fixed and the hormones are still there and she is needing to deal with them. id certainly take her back to the vet and maybe even have some blood work done.
