Kitten Food

Question
We have a 5yr old male cat (Mopar) (we've had him since he was 1yr old) and we recently adopted a 4 month old kitten.  Both are fixed.
I have two questions:
Our adult cat is eating the kitten food whereas the baby is eating the adult food.  They both have the "run of the house" so I'm not sure how to change the food situation, or if it really matters.
Also, our male cat will get the baby on his back and he will bite his stomach and neck...is this playing?  Neither of them have cuts and they are NOT declawed.  I just worry that Mopar is being too rough, if it is in fact, playing.
thank you!

Answer
Hi Jess,

Lol they just don't follow the rules do they? It is fine to feed them both the adult food. The kitten is old enough to eat adult food. Here's a link that will also give you some good info on feeding your guys.

The behavior you are describing is fine. It is either a dominance behavior by your older male or a discipline behavior. Either way they will settle it out fast. The younger one will learn his place and what not to do. Hope this helped. Good luck and take care.
