Question
My female kitty was fixed approx 1 month ago. At that time the vet removed two baby teeth she said should have come out and they were late. Now a month later Kallie still has no large upper incisors. Is this a concern. Kallie is 6 months old

Answer
Hi, Kathy.  At this age, all Kallie's teeth should be in, and if there were any problems, such as teeth growing crooked or where they shouldn't be, you should be able to see where the teeth have come in.  Try to look in her mouth and see behind the main gumline to see if teeth have grown out of line.  If so, they probably will need to be removed.

But kittens can be born without eye teeth or molars, or any other teeth.  A missing set of incisors in no big deal.  Really, the canine teeth and molars are the most important.  Even without them, cats adjust to missing teeth just fine.
