cat flu

Question
Since moving to Malawi, we have been adopted by ferril cats who we have since tamed (9 of them) - they have been struck by cat-flu and we are wondering if since they've had it, and have now recovered (some are still on medication) when or if we can still vaccinate them against it.  Their period of confinement and administration of the medicine by us has resulted in them becoming much tamer and more reliant on us, which is a good thing, but I just don't want them to suffer this flu epidemic again.  I look forward to your reply

Answer
Hi Kari....

I hate to show my ignorance, but I do not know where Malawi is.  At any rate, I picked up a bit of information for you about Cat Flu.  Look at this website:   http://www.kingtonks.com/cat_flu.htm  If that doesn't give all the info you seek, just go to yahoo.com, and search for Cat Flu, there are lots of great sites that tell you about it.  I doubt there is much of that here as I have never heard of anyone in the cat show circuit talk about it.  Good luck, and write again if I can help further.  Hugs, Barb
