Question
I'm pretty sure my cats water broke about 2 days ago and I was
wondering if there might be a problem with the birth? After her
water broke she pushed a couple of times but then quit and now
is acting like she's not in labor. What is wrong? Maybe I'm just
worried. Her milk is pretty much in althoguh it doesn't squirt it
just drips. Please help

Answer
Shannon,

It sounds to me as if your female has a problem.  I would take her to a vet immediately.  What is going on does not sound normal to me.  Usually, labor sets in just a few hours after the water breaks.  Once labor starts, it should continue until at least one kitten is produced.  After that the female may take a break.  It usually takes one hour from the onset of hard labor until the first kitten is popped out.

If you have any doubts, I would have her to a vet.

Best regards... Norm.
