Getting my FAT cat to exercise...

Is there any possible way to get my cat to exercise on a daily basis?  It seems almost impossible to get him moving and motivated!  Can you give me some advice?

For starters change her diet, in other words, whatever he normally eats a day cut it in half. For instance if you feed your cats twice a day you still feed her twice a day but just reduce the calorie intake by purchasing small cans or dry foods to equal up to just what you would normally feed her just in half for. (Ex. You feed your cat Friskies soft can food and in the morning you give her a 5 oz can, and in the evening you give her a 5 oz can, you want to cut that in half so you feed her a can that's 2.5 oz in the morning and another 2.5 oz in the evening which equals to just 5 oz, so you've cut it in half because at first it was 10 oz she was getting everyday)

Too get him to exercise try using the cat and mouse trick tie a clear string onto a mouse and run it around the house and he should go after it, if he doesn't that is one lazy cat lol, then if he doesn't go after it try buy tempting toys that will help him exercise for instance a ball that you can but a treat in and he can smell it but he cant get to it because its inside of the ball. Those are great suggestions. I hope all goes well.
