Wierd cat behavior?

I have a cat who is neutered. He's an indoor and outdoor cat and when he's inside, kneading my legs, usually purring, he salivates and it gets on my clothes. Is that normal? He does it all the time, but only to me. Frankly, its kind of gross. Just wondering what causes it, if it is normal. Thanks

yes its normal. i have a male cat who does it too. you have to keep in mind that he sees you as the top female cat, the mother figure. he is showing you his love as if you are his mother.. just wipe the slobbers off and go on about your way. its just love.
