2 yr old + cat

Hello, hope you can help our family out.   We have just adopted a 2 + yr old male tom cat. It is not fixed yet and found that it does indeed spray.   We are wondering if this is too old to have our cat fixed.  Or will he continue to do this in our home.  It is a house cat for the most part.  If not, the orig. owner said he would take him back.  thank you  tb

He is definitely not too old to get him neutered, although that is no guarantee that he will quit spraying if you do get him neutered.  That being said, having him neutered will reduce the amount of hormones his brain is getting that is making him behave territorially.  There's no way to tell for sure if he'll stop until you have him neutered, unfortunately.
